The 2020 Chinon Montet possesses a gently oaky bouquet of spices, dark wild berries, licorice and plums, followed by a dense, structured, layered palate with good depth at the core, velvety tannins and a long, tense and mineral finish. This wine is eminently suitable for gastronomic purposes, but it will benefit from three to five years of cellaring before revealing its full potential.

The 2020 Montet is a rich, mouth-filling style that retains tension and freshness to counterbalance its generosity. This is well judged and not overdone. It offers something for those who like ripeness and those who like acidity. The 2020 is rich in red fruit but it also has savory characters of oak and tobacco, which provide layers. This is long and scented.

Ripe and juicy, this wine has a warm, ripe character. Its black fruits and smoky edge are structured by the tannins and concentration. The wine will be ready from 2025.
