The first thing that you notice is the striking, vibrant, translucent, ruby color of the 2020 Valpolicella. It’s perfumed with rosebuds and cracked white pepper that introduces its wild berry fruits. This is silky-smooth and enveloping, staining the palate in liquid floral concentration, as a wave of zesty acidity washes the senses clean. It tapers off long, lightly structured, yet remarkably fresh. The 2020 is a perfect example of a Valpolicella comparing to a cru Beaujolais.
