Stolpman's 2019 Syrah Angeli is sourced from a block of own-rooted vines that was planted in 2002. It marries the natural intensity of this site with the nuance of the own-rooted vines. Bright and beautifully textured, the Angeli is superb in this tasting.

Lots of stem-influenced notes of iron, game, and spice as well as both red and blue fruits emerge from the 2019 Syrah Angeli, another medium to full-bodied, pure, downright vibrant wine from this team. This cuvée comes from the ridgeline section of the estate and is another Syrah to give a year or so in the cellar.

The 2019 Angeli Syrah comes from Stolpman's first own-rooted vines, planted in 2002. Deep ruby-purple, it has slowly emerging scents of tar, violets, blackcurrants and graphite with spicy touches. The full-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with crunchy black fruits and a long finish.
