This is a rich, supple wine with a giving texture, sweetly wrapped in oak that gives off hints of caramel and vanilla. Black fruit dominates on the midpalate, showing a density of blackberry, gamy meat and dark chocolate, finding a balanced finish that shows aging potential. Enjoy best from 2029–2039.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kalyteros is largely in the same style, and it’s a hedonistic bomb of a wine offering a deep purple/plum color, complex notes of darker currants, blueberries, eucalyptus, spicy oak, and crushed stone, full-bodied richness, ripe, polished tannins, and beautiful overall balance and length. Drink bottles over the coming 15-20 years as well.
