The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Jemma has come together beautifully in bottle; in fact the finished wine is quite a bit more impressive than the barrel sample. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice and sweet spice race across the palate. Readers should expect a heady, sumptuous Napa Valley Cabernet built on textural intensity and lusciousness.

A dense and winey style, with a muscular feel to the mix of blackberry, black currant and fig compote flavors. Features a tug of loam, a flash of espresso crema and plenty of licorice through the finish. A broad-shouldered wine. Best from 2025 through 2038. 471 cases made.

A step up, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Jemma has better purity in its cassis and blue fruits as well as notes of scorched earth, chocolate, and subtle cedary notes. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and wonderfully balanced, it will keep for 15+ years.

A fragrant nose of blackberries, blueberries, chocolate, dried herbs, incense, earth and toasted coconut. Full body with firm tannins. Concentrated, with a polished, supple finish. Drink now or hold.
