The 2019 Saint-Véran Cuvée La Combe DesRoches wafts from the glass with scents of orange oil, honeyed orchard fruit, elderflower and warm bread. Medium to full-bodied, bright and layered, it's attractively tensile despite the warmth of the vintage.

The 2019 Saint-Véran Cuvée "La Combe Desroches" comes from two parcels located on deep chalky soil and is aged in 20% oak barrels. It has a rich and generous bouquet with yellow plum, apricot and white peach, traces of wild honey emerging with aeraton. The palate is well balanced and quite viscous in texture, plenty of glycerol here with caramelised pear and stem ginger, a touch of rhubarb towards the finish. A lovely wine.
