The 2019 Château Puygueraud is also terrific, with ripe darker cherry, plum, leafy tobacco and hints of chocolate on the nose. This medium-bodied, rounded, supple, elegant beauty has soft tannins, wonderful balance, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming decade.

Violets and blackberries with hints of spices on the nose. Full body, with soft and velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Drink now or hold. Always excellent value.

A Nicolas Thienpont wine that has a successful mix of Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Touches of gooseberry, elderflower and nectarine, great tension through the palate, fresh acidites give a mouthwatering finish and this has precision and juice. Easy to recommend and great value.

Fragranced milk chocolate and black cherries on the nose - a gorgeous smell. Rush of fresh fruity flavours on the palate - blueberries, raspberries and blackcurrants alongside hints of minty, stony bitterness that edge the fruit giving texture and tang. Round with silky tannins. Easy to drink and easy to recommend.

The 2019 Puygueraud exhibits aromas of black cherries, violet and iris, thyme, menthol and touches of spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, juicy and vibrant, with delicate aromas of plum and cassis. This vintage can be approached with pleasure, even if it has three to five years of evolution ahead of it.

This full Merlot from the far east of the Bordeaux vineyard, is suffused with ripe, smoothly textured dark fruits. It has a touch of spice at the end from the Cabernet Franc. Structured tannins come at the end.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Puygueraud shows signs of preserved plums and wild blueberries with touches of forest floor and wild sage. Medium to full-bodied, it has taut, muscular fruit and a firm, grainy texture, finishing savory.
