Beautifully fresh and tonic, the Boschis Francesco 2019 Dogliani Pianezzo opens to lots of bright, dark fruit and fresh blueberry. All that intensity comes from the bouquet, as this entry-level red is easy and short in terms of palate. This is a good choice for buttery French ham sandwiches. Exactly 5,636 bottles and 800 magnums were released.

The 2019 Dogliani Vigne in Pianezzo is bright, punchy and full of energy. Red berry fruit and floral accents give the Pianezzo an upper register that is not found in the other Doglianis. Deep and yet nervy, the 2019 is a terrific introduction to this range. Gravel, rose petals and blood orange linger on the potent, structured finish. This is an especially powerful, driving style.
