The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate spent five days on the skins in open fermenters and is aged in 50% new oak for 20 months. It has quite a voluminous bouquet with liquorice-tinged black fruit, quite heady and perhaps a little shown up by the superb 2020 Pinotage. The palate is medium-bodied with firm grip on the entry, slightly dry tannins and fine acidity, but the finish just needs a little more finesse and complexity.
