The 2018 Extra-Brut Grand Cru Millésimé Œil de Perdrix is lovely, wafting from the glass with scents of orange blossom, mirabelle plum, sweet citrus fruit and red berries. Medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy, with a fleshy core of fruit and lively acids, it's an elegant, charming wine that offers demonstrative drinking out of the gates.

The 2018 Champagne Grand Cru Oeil de Pedrix Extra Brut reveals a slightly more copper tinge followed by ripe aromas of tangerine, ripe red strawberry, and hay. The palate has a softness in its approach, with a rounded feel, offering notes of juicy raspberry, peach, and confectionary pastry. It is juicy but cleans up nicely on the back end. It is approachable now or over the next 10-15 years.
