Dense gamay from exceedingly old vines up to 80 years of age, it is a voluptuously aromatic wine, with intriguing jam packed fruit of serious Gamay, but not the up-front candied fruit that is typical of many modern styled Beaujolais. This is old-school, great extraction and expression. This is the wine that made Beaujolais famous, yet ironically, so rare these days.
