It shows the controlled poise of the vintage, opening with clean, lifted aromas of Meyer lemon curd, wet stones and almonds. The palate is balanced and straightforward, combining creamy richness with lively and linear acidity.

The 2018 Chardonnay is such a gorgeous wine. Apricot, tangerine oil, butter, spice and a touch of reduction give the 2018 a decidedly exotic flair, but then the Santa Cruz Mountains minerality kicks in to frame things beautifully. Rich, textured and vibrant in the glass, the 2018 is a terrific wine to drink now and over the next handful of years.
