The 2018 Dogliani San Luigi is another attractive wine in this range from Chionetti. Sweet red berries, flowers, mint and cinnamon add an attractive upper register. In 2018, the San Luigi is mid-weight in feel, with incisive tannins that are well-balanced now but that will eventually overpower the fruit. For that reason, I would prefer to drink the 2018 sooner rather than later.
