The 2017 Lessona Riserva Vigna Covà is a powerful, structured wine. Huge fruit and equally imposing tannins make themselves felt. I suspect another year or two in bottle will be beneficial. Today, it is the wine's textural feel that stands out most. White pepper, chalk, mint. incense and bright saline notes cut through a core of vibrant Nebbiolo fruit. The finish remains tight, even with considerable aeration. Patience is a must.

Inviting and seductive nose of sour cherry, cranberry and plum. The palate is subtle and sophisticated with well-concentrated fruit, fresh acidity, and integrated tannins with a persistent finish.
