The 2010 Larmandier-Bernier Vieille Vigne du Levant is perfectly balanced, with notes of citrus zest, brioche and bright acidity and energy derived in part from the chalky mineral soils – it's a Grand Cru tour de force delivering incredible value. Pierre and Sophie Larmandier are the force behind Larmandier-Bernier Champagne, producing the exceptional 2010 Larmandier-Bernier Vieille Vigne du Levant Grand Cru Extra Brut from 100% old vine Chardonnay. As grower-producers, the Larmandier's own 45 acres of vineyards in some of the most prized areas of the Cote des Blanc. With an emphasis on biodynamic viticulture, the grapes for the Levant Cuvee are sourced from 50 plus year old vines located in the Grand Cru village of Cramant, known for producing champagne of great finesse and structure. The 2013 Chemins Grand Cru has the unmistakable intensity and length you would expect from Avize. The non-vintage Champagnes Longitude and Latitude are both Blanc de Blancs and as it may seem the Latitude is broad and elegant while the Longitude is more racy and linear with great length.
