Blackberry and blueberry aromas with wet earth and bark. Sandalwood undertones. Full body, velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Very agile at the same time. Energy. What a wine for the cellar. Screw cap. Try in 2020.

Includes 15% merlot. Another excellent wine with neatly compact flavours and definition. Beautiful tannin structure, the palate silky and refined, the cassis, the oak, the spices all dutifully playing their part.

This single-vineyard red, planted in 1970, is in the form of its life in 2014. Dramatic, brooding aromatics are followed by haunting briar, truffle and black olive flavours. It has impressive weight and a sumptuous texture, with fine and ripe tannins. Sheer class.
