Where has this been all my life? At first floral, turning instantly to those power-packed dark fruits which are a signature at Chez Powers. That's what the Northwest will do for you - especially in the hands of these guys. Doesn't surprise me that the Powers are ruggedly and super-green; huge solar setup, tractors run on biofuel, vineyards patrolled by good bugs killing bad guys, no insecticides, no artificial nothing. The resulting wines are as naturally good and invigorating as a hike in the woods. Makes me want to snare a wild boar for pairing with either bottling.
