Was able to send the special wine I love for a great price. It took an extra day to receive it, but it’s well worth the wait. All wine was packaged perfectly and no bottles were damaged. I love B21.

I began using B21 about 2 years ago. Wish I had found them sooner. They represent about 70% to 80 % of my liquor buys. Only the odd things are purchased elsewhere. Once you use them you will be hooked. Inventory, professional staff, quick shipping and competative pricing are what I really appreciate. Try them, you have nothing to lose and much to gain.

Remember 2009? Looking back, it was a year filled some remarkable events – Bitcoin was launched as the first cryptocurrency, "Miracle on the Hudson" pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger safely landed a disabled airliner on a NYC river and the iPhone 3 along with Windows 7 were released – but perhaps more memorable for wine lovers and collectors, the Wine Spectator declared the 2009 Bordeaux vintage "the best in years" rivalling the legendary 1961, while critic Robert Parker Jr. declared it "unquestionably the greatest Bordeaux vintage I have ever tasted," awarding no less than 18 wines with 100 pt. scores. Now entering their second decade of maturity, these top rated 2009 Bordeaux blends offer the "satisfying longevity" that is the litmus test of greatness according to Neal Martin of Vinous, drinking beautifully today and promising decades more of evolution and now available with the bonus of over 10 years of pristine cellaring at exceptional value pricing while they last.

Described as "a textbook growing season" by the Wine Enthusiast's Roger Voss, 2009 began warm and dry with early flowering and a healthy, uniform crop set, followed by a perfect balance of sun and rain for optimal ripening and finishing with dry, sunny Fall weather that was perfect for harvesting. Recalling their "seductive intensity of fruit and the luscious textures" upon release, Neal Martin points out the remarkable evolution of the 2009's over the last decade, declaring "I love the 2009 Bordeaux vintage" calling it "a smorgasbord of gorgeous wines" that "fulfill the promise heaped upon them at birth." Inside Bordeaux's Jane Anson recently described 2009 as "a brilliant vintage which will be going strong in 20, 30, 40 years," confirming the renowned Bordeaux expert's instinct "to trust terroir will come through in the end." Describing 2009 as "one of the greats" ten years on, Jeb Dunnuck declared "I'm happy to report that the wines deliver the goods," already offering "serious pleasure," with the top rated blends from even the smaller appellations promising long lives ahead, "proving you don't have to break the bank to have a classic, age-worthy Bordeaux."

Remaining "one of the most exciting vintages of the 21st century" according to James Suckling, these top scoring selections from the legendary 2009 vintage "deliver enjoyment in spades" according to Neal Martin, many ranging from smaller appellation to First Growths priced well below their release price and promising "a long way to go," according to Jane Anson. From a triumphant, terroir-reflective vintage of classic Bordeaux complexity that will continue to evolve over time, collectors and Bordeaux lovers know to act quickly to take advantage of these great deals and secure their stash of these top scoring 2009 Bordeaux before they're gone.

Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Cheval Blanc offers up profound notions of baked blueberries, blackberry compote and crème de cassis with suggestions of chocolate mint, new leather and cloves plus a waft of candied violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is an exercise in elegance with very classy, super fine-grained tannins, beautiful freshness and layer upon layer of mineral-laced blue and black fruits, finishing long and perfumed.

100 points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate (Mar 2019)

The 2009 Château Cheval Blanc continues to just blow me away every time I'm lucky enough to taste a bottle. It has that rare mix of elegance and power that can be hard to describe. Offering a massive bouquet of black cherry liqueur, flowery incense, crème de cassis, toasted spices, and forest floor, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a magical, seamless texture, and a great, great finish. Its tannins and structure are just now starting to emerge from under ample baby fat, but it still has incredible opulence and richness as well as flawless balance. Enjoy this masterpiece any time over the coming 20-30 years.

100 points, Jeb Dunnuck (Nov 2020)

A profoundly generous wine with coffee grounds and patisserie notes revealing grilled oak that's subtle but extremely pleasing. The quality of the tannins is exceptional - they are drawn out, elongated and shrouded in smoke. Layer upon layer of complexity unfurls in the mouth, getting better and better, with tons of juicy black fruit. The liquorice is black and tight on the perfectly balanced finish right now, with sprinkles of star anise and a gentle lift of fresh mint. Give it a good few years before opening.

100 points, Jane Anson, Decanter (Feb 2019)

Super-spicy, this is an extremely elegant 2009 with enormous concentration and finesse. The complex finish lights up the sky and you wonder how this spectacular ripeness could have been more perfectly expressed. Drink or hold. (Horizontal Tasting, London, 2019)

99 points, James Suckling (Oct 2019)

The 2009 Cheval Blanc has a rambunctious nose with copious red fruit, meat juices, sage and crushed stone aromas, ineffably complex. This is so refined, constantly mutating in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, saturated tannin. There is a mixture of red and black fruit, hints of cassis, cardamom and allspice. Immense depth and grip towards the finish expresses ripe Cabernet Franc. This is an outstanding 2009 destined for long-term ageing. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 2009 Bordeaux tasting.

98 points, Neal Martin, Vinous (Mar 2019)

Dense, brooding and richly coated, with a well of steeped black currant, fig paste and roasted plum fruit to draw on while the layers of charcoal, Kenya AA coffee and loam resolve themselves. This displays both breadth and depth, offering a great undercurrent of acidity to match its heft. Should be among the most long-lived wines of the vintage. Best from 2017 through 2035. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 7,330 cases made.

98 points, James Molesworth, Wine Spectator (Mar 2012)
