Region: Highlands
District: Speyside (Dufftown)
Tasting Notes:
Nose: A light, delicate touch of peat.
Taste: Attractive flavour, with an after-sweetness. Well balanced. A good introductory to malt.
Comments: If you have never tasted a malt, start with this one. - Wallace Milroy's Malt Whisky Almanac
"Glenfiddich 15 year old Solera Reserve Scotch: Pale straw in color. The aromas are lightly peated and suggest notes of heather honey and wildflowers over a light vegetal, mossy backdrop. The silken body brings a surprising peppery palate, but as time passes the sweet honey notes shine through along with hints of leather, nutmeg and a light dusting of peat. The finish is long and spicy." 89 Points - Wine Enthusiast, September, '99
