Sweet malt, woody herbal hop, nutty yeast, faint buttery diacetyl and light alcoholic esters make up the aroma. Smooth and creamy with a light carbonation, fruity and smoky on the palate. Flavours of ripe pears and apples with a peat smoked malt taste on the sides and tip of the tongue. Hop stroll in lightly with a lemony and woody flavour donning a modest bitterness. Maltiness is fluffy and sweet and holds on to some residuals in the finish. A very tasty little golden ale, such a complex brew for a smaller built ale. It also feigns as a cask ale with the lighter carbonation, this real “real ale”.
