Aroma his the nose with strong notes of sherri, dairy, coffee, chocolate and hints of spice. Luscious mouthfeel. So damn smooth! A bit chewy, thick and viscous. More notes of sherri, wood, coffee, chocolate and molasses. Malt profile is quite sweet. Alcohol is very present, with a sting and spice behind the malt. Some brief citric hop bitterness in the mix. Dry grain and a roasted malt/molasses twang in the finish. Although this beer shows signs of much oxidation, and it's a 2003 reviewed in 2003, it's still quite good.
