Orchard fruits, honeyed flowers, spice, and a hint of toast emerge from the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc, a beautifully textured, medium-bodied, seamless white that carries the fresher, elegant style of the vintage while still bringing terrific depth and concentration. It will shine on the dinner table and be incredibly versatile with all kinds of food, but it will stand on its own just fine as well. The blend is 40% Grenache Blanc, 40% Roussanne, and 20% Clairette that’s from the les Brusquières, le Mourre des Perdrix, and Vaudieu lieux-dits, aged in 35% new barrels.

A full-bodied, seriously structured version, with a generous core of creamed peach, yellow apple and verbena. A dusting of dried green herbs and a hint of baking spices add warmth, along with a kiss of brioche. Everything is anchored by this white's impressive mineral intensity and crushed flint element. The density builds towards the tangy finish, which shows good length, drive and precision. Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette. Drink now through 2031. 420 cases made, 160 cases imported.
