Dark in the centre with a purple rim, and a bouquet of significant energy. There is a mineral crunch which really enhances the ripe richness of the fruit, which has a dark cherry and raspberry profile. Superbly balanced with just the right acidity, 13.2% alcohol, carrying its 47 hl/ha without any doubt. A sublime finish. Drink from 2030-2038.

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with Morello cherries, crushed strawberry, potpourri and touches of white truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, the 50% new oak making this very sleek and sensual. It’s a fruit-driven and luscious Les Chaignots with hints of blood orange and quince, finishing with a dash of pepper. Very fine.
