Leading off the barrel samples, the 2019 Saint Joseph Silice has a fruit-forward yet concentrated style, offering beautiful red and black fruits, peppery herbs, lavender, and violet aromas and flavors. Pure, medium to full-bodied, and seamless on the palate, it's a terrific Saint Joseph in the making.

Heady, spice-tinged red and dark berry scents, along with suggestions of smoky minerals and licorice. Juicy and lithe on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that deepen through the midpalate. Shows fine definition and spicy lift on a long, smooth finish that features well-knit tannins and a lingering suggestion of cracked pepper. 15% whole clusters.
