From a very cool and stony gneiss spot in the Spitzer Graben, the 2018 Ried Bruck Riesling Federspiel shows a beautifully fine and delicately aromatic and spicy bouquet of apricots and white blossoms. Lean and strong on the palate, with intense and spicy fruit intermixed with crystalline flinty notes, this is a fascinatingly coolish, clear and spicy Riesling of great finesse and elegance. It's lithe but intense and concentrated and delivers the typical Wachau apricot in perfect shape. Tasted at the domain in September 2019.

Rich and lush for the category, featuring concentrated flavors of glazed citrus, peach and spice, with underlying minerality and firm acidity giving this balance and a sense of freshness. Notes of juniper mark the finish. Best from 2021 through 2029. 1,000 cases made, 84 cases imported.

Gentle but bright and sunny notes of lemon on the nose find their echo on the lithe palate. Green apple and zesty lemon play against a backdrop of fresh, creamy yeast on a very slender, fresh body with a dry and really zesty finish.
