The 2018 Carménère Primus is made with grapes from old vines planted on the Colchagua hillsides over 130 years ago. Having spent a year in used French oak barrels, it is a rich violet in color and offers intense aromas of blackberry jam, along with hints of white pepper. Full-bodied with mild acidity, the muscly, concentrated palate makes for an indulgent, enjoyable style.

This refined red is filled with svelte dark currant, cherry tart and cranberry flavors that are supported by fresh acidity and tannins, with mocha accents on the minerally, well-structured finish. Drink now through 2025. 3,800 cases made, 2,200 cases imported.
