A pretty Rosso with blueberries, crushed-stone notes, and even some chalk. Medium to full body. Chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs a year or two to soften. Try in 2020.

Based on 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot that spent 8 months in barrel, the 2018 Rosso Di Montepulciano offers plenty of spice and cedary herbs notes as well as bright cherry fruit, medium body, silky tannins, and terrific overall balance. It's a great value at the price and is going to be hard to beat as a house red to drink over the coming year or two.

Fragrant purple flower, ripe dark-skinned berry and whiffs of exotic spice shape the nose. It's elegant and structured, doling out juicy black cherry, black currant, star anise and a hint of espresso alongside fine-grained tannins. Drink through 2022.
