This estate always fashions a terrific white, and their 2018 Château La Grande Clotte Blanc offers a medium-gold hue as well as exotic notes of spiced lemons, candied ginger, honeyed limes, baking spices, and exotic flowers. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it carries serious amounts of fruit and stays clean, dry, and lengthy on the finish. It's a beautiful, rich, food-driven beauty to enjoy over the coming 4-5 years.

La Grande Clotte's 2018 Blanc springs from the glass with vibrant notes of white peaches, green apples and fresh pears, plus suggestions of paraffin wax, blanched almonds and honeysuckle with a touch of elderflower. The medium to full-bodied palate offers generous stone fruit and citrusy flavors with a satiny texture and tons of freshness, finishing long and savory. It's delicious now, but it should evolve nicely over the next five+ years.
