The wines of Paso Robles have a seductive opulence about them aromatically, and a plush mid-palate feel followed by the developing firmness of acidity that lifts the full lush fruit, articulating it in the finish. Great Paso reds cover the savory spectrum making them most satisfying and fulfilling. Neighbors Rick Quinn and Dave Nichols came together to create what became Opolo back in 1997. They now own and farm nearly 300 acres of vines on the east and west sides of Paso Robles and are producing for now the best bargain I know in Paso Robles. Lovers of the Paso style (think Justin and Daou) should not miss this Cabernet.

This affordably priced bottling delivers all that's desired in a Paso Robles red: rich aromas of black cherry foam, oak spice, vanilla cream and pie crust. That's followed by a lush and rounded palate of pillowy, chalky tannins that offer flavors of cherry, baking spice and dried herbs.
