Niero's top cuvée comes from selected parcels and sees just a bit more oak than his other bottlings (around 50%). The 2017 Condrieu Heritage is full-bodied and rich, a lush, silky sexpot. Floral notes mark the nose, while the ripe fruit ranges from melon to apricot and pineapple, all underscored by a potent note of wet stones and a lingering finish. Too bad there are only 1,200 bottles.

The light gold-colored 2017 Condrieu Héritage (12 months in 40% barrels, with the balance in stainless steel) offers a terrific bouquet of spiced citrus, orange blossom, and white flowers. It's fresh, elegant and lightly textured, with a balanced, charming, complex and forward style. It shows the vintage style and is ideal for drinking over the coming couple of years.
