Medium ruby-red. Subtle aromas of dark plum, blackberry and licorice are complemented but not overwhelmed by a slightly exotic chocolatey-oak element. Fine-grained, broad, plush and sweet, showing attractive reserve to its dark fruit and lightly herbal flavors; little in the way of Syrah gaminess here. Broader and more generous than the Reserve reds, reflecting the lower vine yields for this wine. Perhaps a bit low in acidity but finishes with good length and grip--and a touch of licorice. A very good showing.

Redcurrants, spices, boysenberries and some underbrush and gentian. Medium body, fresh acidity and a fruity finish. A blend of malbec, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. Drink now.
