The 2016 Chablis has a very attractive bouquet with detailed citrus aromas that combine neatly with tropical scents of passion fruit and mango, the mineralité tucked in just underneath. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, almost New World in style with some obvious, perhaps unnecessary reduction towards the finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle and don’t be afraid to decant this. Tasted blind at the BIVB Chablis tasting.
