Favorable exchange rates have lowered the price of this gem to nearly everyday status, making it a terrific value. Ripe melon and red berry flavors are supported by a firm bed of crushed stone, then garnished by subtle spice notes. Typical of Tavel, it's on the full-bodied side for a rosé, but doesn't seem heavy at all. Drink now–2018.

A classic Tavel that shines on all accounts, the 2016 Tavel from Chateau d’Aqueria sports a deeper raspberry color to go with tons of strawberry, framboise and hints of citrus-like aromas and flavors. Beautifully textured, vibrant, fresh and length, it’s a sensational Rosé that’s a no brainer purchase.

Dark orange-pink. Pungent red berry, cherry pit and floral scents, given lift and urgency by a mineral nuance. Taut bitter cherry and raspberry flavors convey a suggestion of blood orange. Fleshes out and becomes sweeter on the finish, which hangs on with very good, floral-tinged persistence.
