The 2016 Cabreo Il Borgo brings together all the elements of the Folonari style nicely. Mocha, black cherry, espresso, licorice and sweet oak all meld together in an attractive, supple Tuscan red that will drink well with minimal cellaring. In 2016, Cabreo is more refined and nuanced than I remember seeing in the past. Sweet floral notes add lift through to the silky finish.
