Fragrant with delicate grapefruit, papaya and herbal notes. This is an unusually complex, drier style of pinot gris with plenty of structure without feeling at all heavy. Then comes the very long elegant finish with a thousand nuances. Delicious now, but has many more years of life ahead of it! Made from biodynamically grown grapes.

Luminous golden-tinged straw. Yellow plums, minerals, chlorophyll and eau de vie aromas and flavors are complicated by hints of lemon verbena. There is an intriguing sweet-sour quality to this wine. Very elegant and with a penetrating quality on the juicy, saline, extremely long finish. Real knockout Pinot Gris that tastes slightly off-dry (19 g/L residual sugar and 5.8 g/L total acidity) and will match well with richer white meat dishes. 13.5% alcohol.

The 2016 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Furstentum is beautifully floral on the nose. Very tight, fresh and salty on the palate, this is a pure and tensioned Pinot with a long, tight, mouthwatering finish. Bottled with 19 grams per liter of residual sugar that provides perfect roundness. Tasted October 2018.
