Showing broad shoulders and powerful intensity, the 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva Novecento is an elegant and authentic wine that would pair with grilled steak or pasta topped with wild boar sauce. This wine is authentically Tuscan down to its inner core. The blend is 95% Sangiovese with 3% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino. It offers characteristic flavors of wild cherry, rose hip, moist garden herb and chewing tobacco. You also get that snappy freshness of the grapes from a cool and classic vintage such as this. Bottle production is 30,000 units strong. I liked this Riserva a bit more than Dievole's Chianti Classico Gran Selezione from the same vintage.

Dense and brooding, this red gathers sweet cherry and berry fruit midpalate, gaining support from bitter almond and tobacco notes. Beefy and long on the finish. Best from 2022 through 2032. 2,500 cases made.

A rich and round-textured red with a dark-chocolate, coffee and walnut character. Medium to full body, round tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
