This is a fantastic find for me with superb density and length. Very old vine cabernet franc. Full and silky. Incredible length. 4,000 bottles made. 2 hectares vineyard. Mostly cabernet franc.

The 2015 Château Soutard-Cadet is a 2.106-hectare vineyard, acquired by the Lefevre family in 2015 (owners of Moulin du Cadet and Sansonnet) and located in front of Château Soutard. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc and matured entirely in new oak, it has a pure redcurrant and wild strawberry scented bouquet that gains momentum in the glass, but never becomes overpowering. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well-judged acidity, tensile in the mouth with an appealing touch of graphite and sous-bois on the finish. This is a very appealing, well-crafted Saint Emilion, nuanced and full of personality.
