Excellent young red with a solid core of fruit and chewy tannins. Lots of mineral and black berry character. Hints of spices.
92-93 points, James Suckling (Mar 2016)
This is a bold and structured wine, with dense tannins that just hint at the ripe black-currant fruits that hide behind. Firm and dark, it will likely develop slowly and with a dry edge always to the fore.

One of the positive surprises of the year, Henri Duboscq's 2015 Haut-Marbuzet offers striking depth and density, especially within the context of the year. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke, menthol and licorice meld together. As always, Haut-Marbuzet is distinguished by its exotic aromatics and racy personality. This is a very strong effort at its level.
