70% Pinot Blanc (yes, Pinot Blanc), 30% Chardonnay. 55 years of age. Limestone, gravel. This appellation allows up to 70% Pinot Blanc, and when you have vines over 50 years of age you are going to use them... thankfully they did! The texture of Pinot Blanc and the drive of Burgundy, very complete! Honeyed nose and almond essences too, firms up on the palate with minerality and fresh releasing finish. Will age. A new wine for me from this master of Burgundy and value.
