This is a beautiful Champagne, balancing minerality with citrus and white fruits. It has a freshness to it as well as a fine structure so the bottling could still age. Drink from 2023.

The 2013 Brut Blanc de Blancs is a blend of Chardonnay picked in Damery, Vitry and Sézanne. Malolactic conversion was blocked followed by tirage under natural cork. Dried cornhusk along with baguette crust and overtones of lemon create a gentle, appetizing nose. The palate has a roundness, despite the lack of malolactic, beautiful creaminess and depth with real hinterland. Very fine mousse with tiniest, creamy bubbles and lean depth with real chalkiness. Lemon, chalk and a real umami ring on the finish. Slender, elegant. Dosage is 6.7gr/L. Disgorged: Q1 of 2022.
