The 2013 Côte de Brouilly comes from black volcanic soils and represents a blend of several parcels that are overseen by importer Kermit Lynch. Aged in around 40-year old oak tuns, it has a well-defined blackberry and raspberry scented nose that gains vigor in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh entry, quite sappy in the mouth with more red fruit than black – raspberry and red cherry with a twist of lemon on the finish. Enjoy this over the next 4 or 5 years.
