Marcelo Pelleriti is a man of perfect wines (a Grammy award winning musician, to boot); "the first Argentine winemaker to receive 100 Points from Robert Parker for a Bordeaux wine." Consulting for the late Cathérine Père-Vergé’s Pomerol estates as well as top names in Argentina, Pelleriti was looking for a place of his own. A decade into his grueling commutes, he found Villa Winery at a resort called The Vines of Mendoza. This sprawling estate with its unique terroir and extremely old parcels of premium varietals (complete with custom crush facilities) at the foothills of the Andes allowed him full control. Marcelo was in heaven. The daunting travel meant a partner was required, someone with similar passions, the drive and ambition for world-class wine – a music lover would be nice, too. In 2012, dining in Mendoza, Marcelo was introduced to Pedro Anzar; one of the world's most respected jazz musicians. Just so happened that Pedro was on the same trajectory; searching to fulfill his dream of becoming a winemaker. Tasting wine, listening to jazz together, they formed Abremundos ("Worlds Without Borders"). Wines which will captivate, you cannot miss a single one.
