Dark and brooding, the 2012 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva il Divasco delivers upfront power and ripeness. This is a warm vintage Brunello with soft and syrupy aromas of blackberry preserves and candied cherry. You feel the heat and the sunshine of the vintage (with 14.5% alcohol). Despite all that upfront lusciousness, the wine is short and less impactful on the mid-palate. In fact, it tastes dry and polished. Only 5,000 bottles were produced.

There's a very impressive sense of depth and richness on the nose of this Brunello Riserva. It shows ample dark cherries and sweet, earthy aromas. The acidity illuminates the mellow, fine-grained tannins and dark cherry flavors. Holds long and even. Try from 2020.
