The finest Cillar de Silos Crianza yet: excellent balance - textures of compact fruit with limestone lift, oak integration is spot on - nuance and complexity that exemplifies the very best examples of the Burgos subzone of Ribera del Duero. Excellent.

The 2012 Crianza has a great combination of flowers, aromatic herbs, perfectly integrated oak and good freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, a soft texture and good acidity. There is a sense of harmony and restraint that I love, but the wine is not shy; it has great flavors. It looks like 2012 has been a great vintage for the wines at Cillar de Silos. 120,000 bottles produced.
