Bright red. Herbal and earthy, then much fruitier and sweetly spiced, with nuances of camphor and brown spices complicating slightly reticent red fruit flavors. Finishes long but with noteworthy alcoholic heat and peppery bite. Leaner than the 2013 Amarone, but in keeping with the style of the 2012 vintage.
