The 2012 Vendimia Seleccionada is a pure Tempranillo from head-pruned vineyards planted in 1950, fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in used French and American barrels. It has a textbook nose of Ribera, with aromas of plums, cherries and strawberries, very typical, with sweet spices from the barrels. An exemplary crianza. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with good weight of fruit, round tannins and flavors that bring back all the notes found in the nose, coming through as a very good Ribera. 20,000 bottles produced. Drink 2014-2017.

Inky ruby. Highly perfumed bouquet of black and blue fruit liqueur, vanilla, licorice and smoky Indian spices. Stains the palate with ripe blueberry and cherry-vanilla flavors, turning smokier with air. At once lush and energetic, this wine finishes with very good focus, smooth tannins and lingering floral character. This wine spent 20 months in new French and American oak barrels.
