The 2009 Extra-Brut Grand Blanc shows the natural radiance of the year in a supple, racy personality. Hints of tropical fruit, pineapple, butter, pastry and vanillin notes all run through this super-expressive, inviting Blanc des Blancs from Philipponnat. The 2009 is a terrific choice for near and medium-term drinking. The Grand Blanc is a blend of fruit from Grauves, Trepaille, Avenay-Val-d’Or, Vertus and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Dosage is 4.25 grams per liter. Disgorged: June, 2019.
