NV Agrapart Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut Grand Cru Disgorgement July 2025 (750ml)
Sparkling from Avize, Champagne, France
B-21 Top Recommendation
Read More

Crafted by artisan producer and B-21 favorite Pascal Agrapart in the chalky Cote des Blancs, Champagne Agrapart has enjoyed an under the radar reputation, but with the release of these highly rated 2025 cuvees, that's about to change. From one of the top grower-producers in the region, these selections from Agrapart offer a rare taste of meticulously crafted, terroir-driven Champagne at a remarkable value that's bound to sell out in a flash.

Now run by the fourth consecutive generation, Agrapart ranks at the top echelons of Champagne, earning a 3-star rating in the Revue de Vin du France alongside only 7 other houses, including Krug. Planted almost entirely with Chardonnay with a few small plots of Pinot Noir, the ten-hectare Agrapart Domaine comprises more than 70 small parcels predominantly in the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry, and Oger with a few Premier Cru plots on the Cote de Blancs, boasting low yielding vines averaging over 40 years of age with the oldest over 70 years. Taking the reins of his family's historic estate in Avize over four decades ago, Pascal works the soils manually while employing organic practices, tilling with horses to ensure his soils do not get compacted (one of his parcels is worked by and named for his horse Venus). Fermenting the base wines exclusively with native yeasts which he believes is critical to expressing the terroir, Pascal employs a mix of older barrels dependent on the cuvee and longer than required bottle aging on the lees, yielding gorgeous, pure fruit impeccably balanced with chalky minerality that finishes long, each cuvee uniquely identified with a different colored plaque (i.e., the round metal disk on top of the cork).

Very intense minerality dominates in this blend, with pure aromas of chalk, subtle flowers, lemons and pastry. Medium-bodied, it shows zesty acidity and a lean yet silky palate that’s elegant and delicate. Based on the 2020 and 2021 harvest. Disgorged in April 2025. Drink now.

95 points, James Suckling (Oct 2025)

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Grand Cru is unusual in that it is a blend of three vintages (2021, 2020 and 2019) instead of the more typical two, because of very low yields in 2021. There's real density and power here, but not at the expense of Cotes des Blancs citrus, floral and mineral character. As always, the Terroirs is a blend of parcels in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, all Grand Crus. The blend is 20% 2021 and 80% split between 2020 and 2019. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: March 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

A fresh and floral wine with forthright aromas of lime zest and chalk. Very silky on the palate, with zesty yet integrated acidity, a touch of licorice flavors and a minerally finish. 90% chardonnay and 10% pinot noir. Drink now.

93 points, James Suckling (Oct 2025)

The NV (2022) Brut 7 Crus is such a fabulous introduction to this range. In this release, the 7 Crus is especially generous, which makes it all the more appealing in the near term. Citrus confit, marzipan, dried flowers, mint and crushed rocks build in the glass, finishing with a notable substance and power. This release, based on 2022, is one of the best recent 7 Crus I can remember tasting. A standout. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

The NV Extra Brut Complantee Grand Cru (base 2021) Wiry and saline, the NV Extra Brut Complantee Grand Cru is classic Agrapart all the way. As a reminder, the Complantee is a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier, Pinot Blanc, Arbane, Petit Meslier and Chardonnay. Readers who like vibrant, floral Champagnes will adore this. Tense and sculpted to the core , the Complantee is so expressive in this tasting. Citrus oil, chalk, mint, white pepper and crushed rocks bristle with energy. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

The 2019 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs L'Avizoise Grand Cru is dialed up to the maximum. Ample and broad on the palate, the Avizoise is seriously impressive right out of the gate. So expressive today, the 2019 will only improve over time. Even in the early going, it soars with tremendous textural resonance and body. The natural gravitas of these sites (Champboutons and Bionnes) in Avize comes through loud and clear. The Avizoise is the most dense and potent of these Champagnes from Agrapart. It is bottled with no dosage but does have 3 grams of natural residual sugar. Disgorged: June 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

97 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous (Nov 2025)

An austere nose of lime zest, chalk and lemon leaves. It needs time in the glass to become gentler, with lemon curd and apple flavors, pinprick bubbles, a medium body and very good concentration that’s typical of the vintage. A restrained wine with zesty, integrated acidity and a super tight-knit texture. Drink or hold.

The NV Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Exp. 20 is breathtaking. White flowers, mint, chalk, lemon oil and mint are all beautifully sculpted in this intensely saline, statuesque Champagne. This is so gorgeous and expressive. Some early vinetages of this bottling were a bit unfocused, especially in the aromatics. That is far from the case today. The Exp. 20 is essentially the Aviziose wine of that vintage, but bottled with fresh grape juice form the 2021 harvest in place of the sugar and yeast that are typically added for the prise de mousse (the secondary fermentation that takes place in bottle). This release is magical. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: May 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.
