Solid, full, textbook Vacqueyras with exceptional delineation from the ridiculously perfect 2010 vintage. A better from Vacqueryras would be tough to find, with the exception of the Lopy cuvee from same producer, which is slightly more concentrated.
One look at the marvelously mustached and gregarious vigneron, Serge Férigoule of Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux, and you feel you're about to taste wines that are as unique and wild as the man behind the hidden smile. Luckily for us, Serge's mustache is no showman's prop. Nope. His Cuvee Traditionelle, named each year for one of his three daughters, is a testament to traditional Southern Rhone flair... those wild, chewy notes with just enough fruit to soften them up and fill glasses with pure joy. Serge treats his vines with the same love and respect he gives his daughters. His devotion reveals itself with lofty notes of black raspberry, hints of licorice, whiffs of smoke and whispers of garrigue and a palate of tangy, savory radiance. Serge has been caled "...one of the most brilliant producers in Vacqueyras..." by Parker. It's a Rhone World!

A knockout, traditional Vacqueyras that oozes Provence and southern Rhône flair, the Cuvée Floureto (70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre and Cinsault) boasts earthy, mineral-driven aromas of Provencal herbs, leather, and sweet Grenache styled fruit. Medium to full-bodied, dense, and concentrated, with a fair dose of tannin, it will shine for 7-8 years, if not longer.
