Vivid ruby. Higher in pitch than the Dutton Ranch bottling, displaying wild strawberry, raspberry and fresh rose, along with a hint of Asian spices. Quite perfumed in the mouth, offering spicy red fruit flavors and a touch of rose pastille. Finishes long, sappy, spicy and energetic, with a repeating raspberry note.

You’ll find an unusual note of freshly crushed black pepper in this Pinot Noir. Not overwhelming, but enough to vie with the cherries, cola and sandalwood. It’s an excellent wine, dry and silky, although not on a par with the magnificent 2007.
